“The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up.”
– John C. Maxwell (author and speaker)
In last week’s blog, we delved into the concept of innocence and how recognizing the inherent innocence in ourselves and others can lead to deeper healing and more authentic connections. If you missed that blog, you can catch up by reading it HERE.
This week, we’ll build upon that foundation and explore the vital role of personal responsibility in the (re)Parenting journey. Taking responsibility for ourselves is the next crucial step in our growth and self-empowerment.
When we decide to take responsibility for ourselves, we step into true self-empowerment. We stop wasting energy trying to change external circumstances or expecting others to fulfill our needs. Instead, we take control of our own growth and healing.
This means becoming aware of the subconscious beliefs that have been downloaded into us. If you need a refresher on the power of awareness, check out this blog post HERE.
Once we’re aware of these programs, we can begin to take responsibility for them. This doesn’t mean blaming ourselves or others for the past; it means acknowledging that we have the power to change these patterns in the present.
We become the gatekeepers of our thoughts, actions, and emotions. We commit to our own inner child healing, which is a powerful way to access and reprogram our subconscious minds.
So, how can we effectively reprogram these disempowering beliefs?
It’s also important to note that while we are ultimately responsible for our own healing, we don’t have to do it alone. Source energy, our guides, and our guardians are always there to support us. We can call upon them for help and trust that they will send us the resources and people we need. We can also reach out to a coach, therapist, trusted friend or a pet for comfort, support, guidance and/or accountability.
However, we must be the ones to initiate this process. We must be willing to ask for help, take control of our thoughts, and take action to show up differently in our lives.

This week, I encourage you to reflect on areas where you might still be giving away your power. Where can you take more responsibility for your healing and growth? What disempowering beliefs are you ready to release?
Remember, you are the creator of your reality. You have the power to rewrite your story. Awareness, Responsibility, and Showing up Differently is your road map
